Vasculitis is a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the blood vessels. The blood vessels can weaken and narrow decreasing vital blood flow to the affected organs.
There are many types of vasculitis that affect small, medium and large blood vessels.
Symptoms can vary depending on the type of vasculitis:
- Severe Headaches
- Extreme Fatigue
- Joint Pain
- Sinus Infections
- Upper Respiratory Infections
- Body Rash
- Skin Ulcers
- Numbness and Weakness in the Legs, Feet, Arms and Hands
- Distorted or Blurred Vision
All these symptoms are common. Recurring symptoms may be a sign of something more serious.
